Present Day at Pleasant Plains Workshop
Present Day, the holiday shop at my friend Kristina’s Pleasant Plains Workshop in DC, opened last weekend. I stopped by post-brunch to check it out and the place was packed with shoppers and with fun gift options, like tote bags, prints, shirts, jewelry, locally printed magazines and more.

Galaxy of Images
Do you know about the Smithsonian’s online Galaxy of Images?
It’s a huge archive of photos from their collection of books and manuscripts. You can find beetles, botanical drawings, and historical maps. The advertisements section is great.

You may not know I spent my childhood perfecting my back handspring. Now I’m returning to my roots and joining the DC Cheer Squad for a performance at the Closing Party for DC Week this Friday, November 11 at 8pm at Arena Stage. First practice is tonight. Eek!

Handmade Arcade in Pittsburgh
[ November 12, 2011; 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. ]
I head north Saturday, November 12 to sell my wares with my friend Julia of Orange Tabby Press at Handmade Arcade, Pittsburgh’s largest indie craft fair.
The fair runs from 11am to 7pm at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center Downtown. Yinz come by!
