I’ve been pretty busy with custom jobs lately, like these little inserts for the Collectors Edition of the new Gregor Samsa record from my friend Mike’s label, Kora Records. The edition just sold out! But it’s still available on (double) vinyl and in the standard issue. Check it out! It was fun listening to the album while I worked.

I also liked checking out some of Pyramid‘s smaller typefaces while I looked for one for the inserts–there were lots of good choices!
Another custom job I did recently was finishing up a huge pink bat mitzvah invitation project that my predecessor at Pyramid had started. I wanted to come up with something fun to do with all the leftover pink ink, so I made these:

I amused myself by picturing a badass 13-year-old girl who would want a motorcycle-themed bat mitzvah. I’ll get those in the shop within the next day or so.
It reminded me that I had never gotten around to a project from 2 or 3 years ago. My ladyfriend Emily and I had come up with an idea for this fake club, Rebel Social Club (membership: 3), and our logo was supposed to be this pink locust. I had been making handbags printed with a gold locust for Junction, and I was supposed to make us pink ones, but I forgot and the club kinda disbanded. Now I want to letterpress some pink locusts!
